The fiber system
The diet fibers originating in the United States, was presented at its output as “revolutionary”, and particularly serious, because based on work conducted by top scientists. Interest in this scheme: it allows bonus and benefits for the health of an adequate intake of dietary fiber. But it can cause intestinal problems.
The scheme fiber principle: The fiber system is designed to make each day between 35 and 50 grams of fiber or more than the amount recommended by nutritionists (30 to 35 g per day), and a lot more than what we eat every day (typically, 15 to 20 g). It greatly increases the consumption of foods rich in fiber vegetables, fruits, whole grains, whole meal bread, and pulses. The rest of the diet should be a low calorie intake (reducing sugars and fats). It takes more than a supplement called “Fiber +”, high fiber, that they made themselves from its grain; cereals fortified with bran and dried fruit.
This scheme allows losing weight more quickly, since a certain proportion of calories from each meal is not considered. Moreover, thanks to the satiating effect of fiber, it would be easier to follow.
Presented as totally different from all other “diets”, The plan as proposed is still a low calorie diet, with all the restrictions that implies (particularly on foods high in fat and simple sugars). It requires the use of additional fibers +, some may not appreciate.
The increase in fiber is not always well tolerated in terms tract. It is necessary to proceed gradually (although this is not the standard approach in a diet), if one wants to avoid intestinal upset: bloating, gas pains.
This scheme should never be followed by people with diverticula or intestinal problems.
