Taking More Steps to Lower Cholesterol

Physical exercise is widely known as a health-promoting tool, however, increase the amount of physical activity may give you more benefits, such as taking more steps to lower cholesterol. A report in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine confirms and validates.

The study was conducted by Professor Peter T. Katzmarzyk, the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The metabolic syndrome, among which is the high level of low density cholesterol, which can work both overweight people, such as those with normal weight.

The research showed that those who walked more were the group with less percentage of metabolic syndrome. The group walked more than 10.000 steps a day. Whereas it is a walking pace of 100 steps per minute, in half an hour can be done 3000 steps. (more…)

Aerobics activityThe Aerobics is a type of exercise that can leave us positive or negative aspects but unfortunately no one tells us about the negative aspects that this discipline brings with it as obviously everybody wants to sell and have their entire classes.

This is not to say that these classes do not serve, but many people (referring to the sedentary) think that with the Aerobics lose body fat and unfortunately some monitors that offer these classes do not inform people about what they really benefit a class of this type. So people get deceived into believing that classes are going to lose weight. This is mainly due to the belief relate to sweat to lose body fat.

In most Aerobics classes does not reach the zone of aerobic efficiency, and if in any case be able to get is very hard to stay in that area as most of Aerobics classes are not steadily, but that pauses, suddenly make it faster, then do it slower and make endless variations, which makes the classes are way more fun but not very effective in terms of fat loss that if I would like to achieve and maintain efficiency in the aerobic zone would be a class very steady monotone as few people would like.

In general, exercise significantly enhances the quality of life, which is sometimes reflected in things as simple as just being able to move from one place to another without getting tired, sleep well, release stress, be able to load our children without greater efforts and more easily carry the bags to grocery shopping.
